Rafael Gely earned his J.D. and Ph.D. in labor and industrial relations at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. His scholarship reflects his interdisciplinary academic training. His research, which primarily focuses on the regulation of labor markets, incorporates a variety of theoretical paradigms and methodological approaches, drawing from the expertise of co-authors in a wide range of disciplines. At the University of Missouri School of Law, Professor Gely teaches courses in employment law, labor arbitration and labor law, among others.
