Ceyhun Necati Pehlivan is an Adjunct Professor of Law at IE Law School, one of the top law schools in Europe, where he teaches privacy, data protection, and cyber-security in both postgraduate (Master in Global Corporate Compliance) and undergraduate (Bachelor in Politics, Law, and Economics) degrees.
Ceyhun is a Managing Associate and leading attorney-at-law in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practice group at Linklaters in Spain. Ceyhun has been listed in the “Best Lawyers” in Spain 2020 edition and has been recognized as Top 10 Cybersecurity lawyers in Spain by Iberian Lawyer.
He has extensive experience advising multinational corporations on data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity issues. He has worked on complex data related projects across the globe, including major cyber security incidents, personal data breaches, crisis management, and investigations by data protection authorities.
Ceyhun is the Editor-in-Chief of the law journal Global Privacy Law Review (GPLR) published by Wolters Kluwer.
He is also the co-chair of the Knowledge Spain chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
In the past, Ceyhun worked as the global data protection and privacy legal counsel of a leading multinational group in the health technology sector. He is a highly experienced lawyer, and, he also worked for leading international law firms in Spain, Switzerland, and Turkey.
He is a frequent public speaker and has been widely published in legal journals.
