Earned value management systems (EVMS) is a project management technique for measuring project performance and progress in an objective manner. EVMS has the ability to combine measurements of scope, schedule, and cost in a single integrated system. EVMS is notable for its ability to provide accurate forecasts of project performance problems and ensure project success.

The focus of this book is to serve as a practical and informative reference guide, for all of the business professionals in both U.S. federal government agencies and government contractors who are involved in managing contracts and projects, which require and use an EVMS. A team of leading experts in contract management, project management, accounting, and earned value management have worked together to develop this one-of-a-kind book.
