Treasury Department seeks comments on Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 7 Pension Fund application to reduce multiemployer plan benefits

The Department of the Treasury has released a notice of availability and request for comments on an application by the Board of Trustees of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 7 Pension Fund to reduce benefits under the plan pursuant to the Multiemployer Pension Reform Act of 2014 (MPRA). The notice announces that the application is available on the Treasury Department’s website and seeks comments on the application from interested parties, including contributing employers, employee organizations, and participants and beneficiaries of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 7 Pension Fund.

Written comments, which should be received by July 23, 2020, may be submitted electronically using the Federal eRulemaking Portal: http://www.regulations.gov. Commenters are strongly encouraged to submit public comments electronically. Treasury expects to have limited personnel available to process public comments that are submitted on paper through mail. Comments may be mailed to the Department of the Treasury, MPRA Office, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Room 1224, Washington, DC 20220, Attn: Danielle Norris. Comments sent via facsimile or email will not be accepted.
