Currently, nine out of 10 Utah employers file their quarterly reports online. Effective July 1, 2019, paper forms will no longer be accepted. The state’s online tool will calculate tax liability, as well as allow employers to make payments by electronic funds transfer (EFT) for one or more accounts at once. Filing online creates a database for an employer’s account, which will allow each employer to store, review, or amend previous reports. In addition, the website—jobs.utah.gov—always requires encrypted communication, which ensures that all information is transmitted securely (Employer Advisor, Utah ¶1670).
