South Carolina announces extension for taxpayers affected by coronavirus

By Payroll and Entitlements Editorial Staff

South Carolina announced filing and payment relief for taxpayers affected by coronavirus. The relief postpones various tax filing and payment deadlines starting on April 1, 2020. Specifically, affected individuals and businesses will have until June 1, 2020, to file and pay taxes for returns that are due between April 1, 2020, and June 1, 2020.

The relief applies for any taxes administered by or filed with the Department of Revenue (e.g., income tax, sales and use tax, admissions tax, motor fuel user fee, etc.). Estimated payments are included in the relief.
