Maine gives no extension for withholding tax deadlines

Maine Revenue Services has announced that, while other extensions have been announced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadlines for filing and paying Maine state withholding taxes are unchanged. State withholding taxes are considered "trust fund" taxes held in trust, and Maine law prohibits taxpayers from using these trust fund taxes for their own purposes.
