SBA Proposes More Receipts-Based Size Standards Changes

By Government Contracts Editorial Staff

The Small Business Administration is proposing to  increase the receipts-based small business size definitions, also known as the size standards, for three North American Industry Classification System sectors. The rule would amend the table at SBA 121.201 to increase size standards for 46 industries, including 27 industries in NAICS Sector 54 (Professional, Scientific and Technical Services), 2 industries in Sector 55 (Management of Companies and Enterprises), and 17 industries in Sector 56 (Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services). SBA seeks comments on the proposed changes and on the data sources it evaluated to develop the proposed standards. The proposed revisions rely on SBA’s recently revised Size Standards Methodology, which can be found at http://www.sba.gov/size. Comments on the rule are due January 12, 2021. For the text of the proposed rule, see ¶70,425.688.
