FMR Rule on Acquisitions of Utility Services Finalized

The General Services Administration has finalized, without change, a proposed rule (¶72,550.31) amending Federal Management Regulation Part 102-82, Utility Services. The rule clarifies agency authority and responsibilities for acquiring utility services. Also, the rule adds a cross-reference to FAR Part 41, Acquisition of Utility Services, and clarifies Department of Defense and Energy responsibilities regarding compliance. The rule goes into effect March 4, 2020. For the text of the rule, see ¶72,500.75.
