DoD Modifies Clause on Contractor Personnel Performing in Japan

Department of Defense Class Deviation 2018-O0019 requires contracting officers to use new DFARS 252.225-7976, Contractor Personnel Performing in Japan, in solicitations and contracts, including contracts using FAR Part 12 commercial items procedures, that will require contractor personnel to perform in Japan. The deviated clause, which is attached to the deviation notice, requires contractors to account for contractor personnel and dependents in the Synchronized Redeployment and Operation Tracker for the personnel and dependents to be eligible under the Agreement under Article VI of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States of America, Regarding Facilities and Areas and the Status of the United States Armed Forces in Japan, as amended.
