BIS Rule Adds 22 to the Entity List

By Government Contracts Editorial Staff

A final rule issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security amends the Export Administration Regulations by adding 22 entities, under a total of 23 entries, to the Entity List (Supplement No. 4 to EAR Part 744). These entities are listed under the destinations of Bahrain, France, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. BIS made these changes because the End-User Review Committee determined the entities were acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States. The rule also modifies one existing entry under Pakistan and removes one entity from each of the listings for Pakistan, Singapore, and UAE. The effective date of the rule is November 13, 2019. For the text of the rule, see ¶72,750.463.
