BIS Makes Changes to the Unverified List

By Government Contracts Editorial Staff

A final rule issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security amends the Unverified List (Supplement No. 6 to Export Administration Regulations Part 744). The rule revises the UVL by adding 50 persons, removing 10 persons, and adding an additional address for 1 person. BIS added these 50 persons to the UVL because an end-use check could not be completed satisfactorily for reasons beyond the government’s control and BIS could not verify their bona fides. BIS removed the ten persons from the UVL pursuant to information received pursuant to EAR 744.15(d). BIS added the additional address because it determined this person was receiving exports from the United States at an additional address. For the text of the rule, effective April 11, 2019, see ¶72,750.449.
