Troels is a Partner in PwC’s Transfer Pricing team. Prior to joining PwC in August 2016, Troels was Head of Competent Authority with SKAT (the Danish Tax Authorities) for 7 years and was responsible for transfer pricing matters and valuation. Previously, Troels worked as a diplomat in Geneva (WTO, UN and WIPO) and served as private secretary to the deputy prime minister. Troels has been involved in and negotiated most of the Danish BAPAs ever concluded in his time as Danish CA. He has a large international network among the Competent Authorities around the world. Troels is considered a knowledge leader in the dispute resolution field in Denmark. Troels also has extensive experience from international negotiations in the EU and OECD where he took part in the WP6 BEPS discussions and prior OECD work. Troels is recognized for his extensive international and governmental experience. Troels’ specific experience includes 40+ BAPAs and 140+ MAP procedures; relationship management with foreign tax authorities; controversy and litigation; identification of/allocation to PEs, IP valuation and IP transfers as well as risk identification.
