Nicole Stone is the Director of Editorial and Content Innovation for the Health Care and Legal markets for Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. Her editorial organization is focused on the following content areas: IP, Antitrust, Banking and Finance, State and Federal Securities, Legal Tax, Cybersecurity, Health Law, and Hospital Reimbursement and Compliance. These expert editorial groups create and publish original content and primary source related to news, in-depth expert analysis on topics, workflow tools, and more to support hospitals, attorneys, general counsel, and law librarians to be more efficient and effective in their roles. Nicole also directs content and editorial operations innovation ensuring editorial is most effective at producing value-add content for the end user.
Prior to her current role, Nicole began her career at WK in 2004 in the Health Editorial Group as a writer focused on hospital reimbursement and medical coding. In 2008 and 2012 respectively, Nicole became the Manager for Health Application Development focused on software and workflow tool development for the hospital market and Sr. Manager for the Health portfolio. In these roles she led editorial in the creation of several new products including: MediRegs Coding Suite, Reimbursement Toolkit, CCH Coding Comply, Health Reform KnowlEDGE Center, Health Law Daily, and the Law, Explanation, and Analysis book on the Affordable Care Act. In 2014, Nicole moved into a role as Director of Content and Product Innovation focused on new content assets and operational evolution for all WK LRUS content areas where she remained until she accepted her current role.
Nicole has a Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Benedictine University with a M.B.A. with an emphasis in Health Care Administration. She also has a B.A. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University. Prior to her career at WK, Nicole worked in private practice as a medical malpractice defense attorney.
