Laurence is a European and UK patent attorney and has worked in IP since 2013. He advises a range of clients, from university tech transfer offices to global Software-as-a-Service providers.
He drafts and prosecutes patent applications in a diverse mix of technologies including smart utility meters, medical assay devices and payment transaction systems. Laurence also handles contentious matters in the form of oppositions at the European Patent Office. His clients particularly value his holistic approach to patent portfolio management.
Laurence also serves as one of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Patent Attorney’s liaisons to the UK Intellectual Property Office. In this role, he actively engages in discussions on policy and patent law changes.
Earlier in his career, Laurence worked as a structural analysis engineer for a leading systems and engineering technology consultancy, tackling projects across aerospace and civil nuclear power sectors.
