For more than 20 years with Ernstrom & Dreste, LLP, Kevin Peartree has focused his practice in construction litigation, contract negotiation and risk management counseling. He was a principal participant in the drafting of the ConsensusDocs standard form contract documents published in 2007, and before that in the drafting of various revised AGC contract documents.
He is the editor of, and chapter author for, the ConsensusDocs Contract Documents Handbook, and before that a co-editor and multiple chapter author for the AGC Contract Documents Handbook. Active with the Associated General Contractors of America, he previously served as outside counsel for its Contract Documents Committee. He is also a member of the Design-Build Institute of America and a board member of the Upstate Chapter for the DBIA Liberty Region.
He has written for and spoken before the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, the International Risk Management Institute, the Associated General Contractors of America the Design-Build Institute of America, the Construction Super Conference, and numerous other organizations. Kevin is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and a New York Super Lawyer, in the area of Construction Litigation 2013-2016. Kevin earned his J.D. degree at Albany Law School of Union University, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
