Kelly J. Rooney is the Associate Managing Editor of Explanations and Workflow Tools in the Health Law editorial team of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. and has been with the company since 2008. Kelly’s areas of content expertise include Medicare benefits and coverage, health care reimbursement, and health reform. She is the curator of the company’s health reform practice area page, and has authored white papers and presented two “What Are the Experts Saying” webinars— “2015 Health Law Year in Review” and “Simply Unpredictable: Health Care Under the Trump Administration and 115th Congress.” Her publication credits include the Health Reform WK-EDGE; Health Law Daily; Medicare and Medicaid Guide; the annual Master Medicare Guide; Medicare Explained; CCH Medicare and Medicaid Benefits; Journal of Health Care Compliance; and the CCH Law, Explanation, and Analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Kelly has an undergraduate degree in political science from Central Michigan University and a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. She also has a master in public health degree from Northern Illinois University with a specialization in health services management. She previously worked in private practice. Kelly is a member of the American Health Lawyer’s Association.
