JEFFREY H. MATSUURA is an attorney with the Alliance Law Group. He was formerly the Assistant Professor and Director of the Program in Law and Technology at the University of Dayton School of Law. Mr. Matsuura has a wide range of experience providing legal and commercial counsel to high technology companies, mostly in the telecommunications, media, and information industries. He has served as an in-house counsel to Satellite Business Systems, MCI Communications Corp., Discovery Communications, Inc., COMSAT, and TELE-TV. A member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and Virginia, Mr. Matsuura has taught and lectured extensively in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs on a variety of topics related to technology commercialization and the law, with an emphasis on intellectual property development and management, the legal implications of the Internet, strategic alliances and joint ventures for research and technology development, and telecommunications/information technology policy. Mr. Matsuura received his B.A. from Duke University, his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business. Mr. Matsuura served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Otago in New Zealand, and he is an International Affiliate of that university's Internet Research Group of Otago.
