Harold M. Bishop

Harold Bishop is a Senior Writer Analyst in the Health Law editorial team of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. Since joining Wolters Kluwer in 1998, he has been the lead or co-editor for several newsletters, loose-leaf reporters, magazines, and books. Harold’s areas of concentration include FDA (food, drugs, and medical devices); Medicare & Medicaid (primary emphasis in Medicare Parts C and D); and health care compliance (i.e., antitrust, False Claims Act, anti-kickback / physician self-referral, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, health IT, EMTALA, quality of care, and health care reform). Harold has also authored numerous articles and white papers for WK offering strategic perspectives on various topics of current interest to the health care industry. Harold earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Harold served as an Assistant State’s Attorney (criminal division) and as a criminal and civil litigator in a private AV-rated law firm.
