Charles T. Rosoff, ASA, MRICS, is President of Appraisal Services Associates in New York City, a firm of appraisers of Fine Art, Antiques, Decorative Arts, Collectibles, Residential and Office Contents focusing on providing forensic valuations for Internal Revenue Service filings, dispute resolution, and litigation. Mr. Rosoff is an accredited senior appraiser designated by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is admitted as a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Active as an appraiser since 1984, Mr. Rosoff was the Legal Issues Columnist for ASA Personal Property Journal, taught Appraisal Research Methods at New York University, and taught the ASA PP204 Legal Issues course at SUNY Purchase. Mr. Rosoff currently serves as a Discipline Governor on the Board of Governors of the ASA. He has also delivered presentations at four international conferences held by the ASA and has been a Certified Instructor of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation. In addition to this publication, he is the co-editor of the supplements to Valuation Strategies in Divorce, published by Wolters Kluwer. For two years, he participated in mock trials at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and participated as a speaker in the Port-Mortem and Estate Planning program of ALI-ABA, the Advanced Learning Institute of the American Bar Association. He has testified over 17 times across the United States in the Supreme Court, and in state, and county courts.
