Anthony "Tony" P. Curatola

Dr. Curatola is the Joseph F. Ford Professor of Accounting at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He is the Tax Column Editor for Strategic Finance since 1992. He has served as the editor of the Journal of Legal Tax Research and has held a variety of leadership positions, including current national service with the Institute of Management Accountants. He has been called on to provide information to the House Judiciary Committee concerning the source tax law, and he is a regular contributor to numerous journals, including The Tax Advisor, TAXES, Oil and Gas Tax Quarterly, National Public Accountant, Benefits Quarterly, Tax Executive, Journal of Pension Planning and Compliance, and Tax Notes. Dr. Curatola has completed sponsored research on the taxation of retirement income across states and across gender for the Louisiana Accounting and Education Foundation and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. His externally funded research findings have appeared in media such as Forbes Magazine, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and recently on the Wealth Channel.
