Adam Liberman is Vice President Strategic Planning, Coherent Cloud, and is a Professorial Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Law Faculty. He is a former partner of the law firm Freehills and was General Counsel and General Manager Intellectual Property at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). He is a Past President of the Licensing Executives Society International and a member of the now disbanded Commonwealth Government Advisory Council on Intellectual Property.
Mr. Liberman has over forty years’ experience in advising on intellectual property, licensing, commercial and corporate matters. He has advised a wide spectrum of parties involved in the innovation process including research institutes, universities, start-ups, cooperative research centre participants, venture capitalists, investment banks, SMEs, large Australian corporates and multi-national companies.
Mr. Liberman has written and spoken widely on intellectual property and its management, licensing and commercialization at the request of organizations such as The Australian Graduate School of Management and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
He is co-author of the fifth and sixth editions of one of Australia’s leading reference books “Intellectual Property in Australia.”
He is currently and has been for many years included in the Intellectual Asset Management’s list of World’s Leading IP Strategists.
